Description

Snaps on an imaginary line that extends beyond the endpoints of line segments.

Snapping a point to the extension of another line

How to use

  1. Make sure File:Snap Lock.svg Draft ToggleSnap and File:Snap Extension.svg Snap Extension are turned on.
  2. Choose a Draft tool to draw a shape.
  3. Hover the cursor close to the endpoints of the line segment that you wish to extend.
  4. As you move the pointer away from the line segment, but keeping the same slope, a dashed line indicates the extension of the original line.
  5. Click to attach your new point.
