This is actually a bug in the OCC library, the cad kernel we use, and there is nothing we can do about it. All what can be done is to hope that it's fixed in a newer OCC version. The reason why the application doesn't crash is that we make use of SEH exceptions https://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/windows/desktop/ms680657(v=vs.85).aspx which gives us the possibility to continue. |

Can you post the OCC version you have? You can get the information in Help > About FreeCAD > Copy to clipboard. About the file size: you could try to copy/paste the wires you want to loft into a new document. |

@dccharacter please respond Can you post the OCC version you have? You can get the information in Help > About FreeCAD > Copy to clipboard. You could upload the model to a 3rd party service and share the link here OR you could try to copy/paste the wires you want to loft into a new document. |
