Summary0002910: Wiki language when logged out is always Spanish regardless of lang settings elsewhere
DescriptionMake sure you're logged out of the wiki. Access freecadweb.org. Select any non-Spanish language using the flag icon in top right. Access the wiki. Note 'Acceder', Spanish shown when searching, etc.

I did find a way to possibly fix this which involves rebuilding the Mediawiki system pages in the database via a script, but it was warned that it could possibly cause issues with customization that may be present.

The task depends on first performing the Mediawiki 1.29 upgrade; if the problem persists, this can be addressed.

I can't reproduce. No matter the language chosen from the freecadweb.org website, the Documentation link always open the English Main_Page.

OS: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS
locale: fr_CA
Chromium 57.0
Firefox 52.0.2

@kkremitzki responded:
@normandc It isn't that the different translations of the FreeCAD wiki aren't showing up, it's the Mediawiki system language. You should see this as "Acceder" instead of login, and the login page https://freecadweb.org/wiki/Special:UserLogin (perhaps try opening it in a private browsing tab so it doesn't use cookies) displays "Usuario", "ContraseƱa" instead of "Username", "Password".

If you are logged in it will use the language in your preferences for the system language, but for guests the language is not correct.

Also, the behavior you described (always showing the English Main_Page) is part of the bug--if I go to https://freecadweb.org/?lang=de and click 'Dokumentation' I should be sent to https://freecadweb.org/wiki/Main_Page/de

So really, this ticket is associated with 2 similar but different wiki-related language bugs.

@NormandC replied:
I never use Chromium apart from times like this when I need to see something in another browser than my usual Firefox. So I don't have any browser history in Chromium. Still no issue.

I opened your link in a private session of Firefox, here's what I got: English. I should mention that with the Special:UserLogin link in Chromium, I get the UI in French! Which I find more logical as it is my system's locale.

As for the link from the website, you are right of course, but while the menu entry is translated, the url is not, I just checked on Crowdin.

Edit: there was a screenshot that NormandC added but it didn't survive the backup. Can you re-up it?
