Summary0002351: image pane leads to render problems with ActiveView.saveImage
DescriptionI display a printed circuit board (PCB) with some electronic components on top. In order to visualize the copper etc. on the surface of the PCB I show two image panes - one on top and one below. The electronic components are sitting on top. All this looks great in the 3D window, but when I use .saveImage - or even when I save a screenshot bitmap through the menu the electronic components are clipped by the image panes. If I make both of them invisible the images are good. I tried with PNG and BMP, same result. The components and the panes are totally opac, transparency 0.

As a sidenote - I also noted other bugs (probably the same actually) in a more complex fashion - the batteries and their contacts get clipped (while not behind anything) from the semitransparent case in areas where that case has holes ... again, everything is fine in the 3D window, but not in the bitmaps.
Steps To Reproduce* download the project from

http://www.atto-systems.com/FreeCAD/0001_0006.zip

* Open 0001_0006.FCStd (ignore the script, other bug)
* Make everything visible (maybe except the PCB_template inside the case)
* Take a screenshot bitmap (PNG, BMP)

In version 0.14 I get an image but without the electronic components.
In version 0.15 I get a bitmap with 0 bytes :-(.
Additional InformationI reported another bug concerning the script ... runs under V0.14 with that clipping problem but crashes under V0.15 and V0.16.

I may have set the selection color to BLACK so it's invisible !!

The result mainly depends on graphic/OpenGL driver and especially on WindowsXP there are a couple of problems.

There are a few things you can test:

@Jim_Jim when you respond please also mention what other bug you are referring to in:

Resolving as 'no change required' due to:
lack of response of OP
seems to be a hardware issue
+ @wmayer offered workaround.
