| Description | I have installed the latest version of Teigha converter and configured the path to the same in the freecad (using Edit->preferences->drafts). However, when I try to open a .dwg file, windows shell pops up for a few milliseconds and then vanishes. There's no indication of what happened anywhere in the logs, so there's no way of knowing what went wrong. No logs that I could find anywhere; no entries in the windows even viewer, nothing. | ||||

Does the teigha converter work? Can you try exporting to DXF first then converting to DWG manually to make sure teigha works? And that it can convert your file? Teigha doesn't return any info in case of success of failure, so we have no way to know what's wrong from our side, and cannot display any error message. So I'm not sure we can do anything about this, unless there is some particular problem in the data that is being passed to teigha. On exporting to DWG, a temporary dxf file is created in your system's temporary directory (freecad should print a message giving you the path of that file). The teigha converter is then launched, giving it the path to that file. You could try to launch teigha manually with the same parameters, to see if something fails... |
